Daily iPad 2 rumors surface on the internet including The Wall Street Journal which is saying that the tablet is in production phase. Apple fans are thinking why has there been no statement from the company.
Under Steve Jobs, this technology firm has always been expected to launch their most popular product, iPhone, in June while on September iPods come to life. Where does the iPad 2 stand? Well, they released the 1st generation last January 2010 and if their cycle remains in place, they should have at least announced the 2nd generation last January.
Many people are now contemplating if Apple is delaying the release of iPad 2. It seems likely and here are two rationales behind this move:
First, a healthy Steve Jobs is what Apple need. The CEO has always been the one pitching for the product launches of the firm. During his medical leave last 2009 he mentioned a timetable for his return. This time, he kept mum about it.
If Apple is waiting for Steve Jobs to be back on his usual job, then the iPad 2 might be really delayed because of Steve’s health.
Second, Motorola has announced that they will release an iPad rival in Xoom Tablet which will be launched this month. It has already garnered enough buzz after topping the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011.
Xoom will run on Google’s Android 3.0 operating system or called Honeycomb. This tablet is sized 10 inches and it is the first to be considered to give iPad a run for its money.
